This is a big week for Parmalee. Their current single ‘Carolina’ just made No. 1 and their debut album ‘Feels Like Carolina’ is available in stores everywhere! Related: Take an exclusive look inside the new album.
When the frogmen asked them about their amazing week, Frogman Scott announced that “he always had a feeling that ‘Carolina’ would be a hit, because it has the line: ‘looks like California’ (in it.)” After the frogmen revealed that they really like the single, Parmalee confirmed that they “love to come to California.” They said it’s because “the weather and girls are great.” We asked them about their hometown Parmele, North Carolina and how it related to their namesake. The guys said “their hometown is very proud of them and all that they’ve accomplished; they’ve just been wondering why it took so long.”

Parmalee got their first No.1 song this week and they plan on celebrating. They said that when they shared the news with Kix Brooks (formerly of Brooks & Dunn) he in turn suggested that the guys should get a tattoo to celebrate the occasion. They guys joked about what they’d get as a tatoo. They also revealed which of the band members has the most ink and who has the worst ink. Matt, the lead singer, admitted to having a ‘spring break’ tattoo.

Since we had Parmalee on the phone, we were able to share some exciting news for 2014: Parmalee is confirmed to play at the next K-FROG Birthday Bash on Feb. 13th 2014! The guys expressed their excitement about this opportunity to visit beautiful Southern California and (of course) to play for the whole K-FROG family.
